According to Scroogle,
“Google is asking webmasters who use AdSense, to update their privacy policy and warn of Google’s new tracking system.
[The DoubleClick DART cookie is used by Google in the ads served on publisher websites displaying AdSense for content ads. When users visit an AdSense publisher’s website and either view or click on an ad, a cookie may be dropped on that end user’s browser. The data gathered from these cookies will be used to help AdSense publishers better serve and manage the ads on their site(s) and across the web.]
If you see any big sites with AdSense (“Ads by Google” — JavaScript required) that have not updated their policy by Google’s 2009-04-08 deadline,
[The posted privacy policy should include the following information about Google and the DoubleClick DART cookie:
- Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on your site.
- Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.]
email that site’s owner. If they ignore you, scroogle@lavabit.com wants the URL of that site. We plan to compile a list !
We might ask Google to pull these AdSense accounts if the list gets long enough. If that doesn’t work, some privacy activists may decide to complain to the FTC.“

Fear not soldiers there is ccleaner, a fantastical tool that will annihilate cookies and a whole lot more.
I like my privacy.

This is a shout out to Marine. She is into brown sugar everything. Don’t over cook them, unless you like crunchy cookies. This recipe makes fifty 4-inch cookies. If the cookies harden before you have a chance to remove them from the baking sheet, put the sheet back in the oven for a few seconds to soften the dough for easier removal. They are thinner and crisp.
What You Need
- 1 pound (4 sticks) organic unsalted butter, room temperature, plus more for baking sheets
- 3 cups packed organic light-brown sugar
- 1 cup organic granulated sugar
- 4 organic large eggs
- 2 teaspoons organic pure vanilla extract
- 3 1/2 cups organic all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sea salt
- 2 teaspoons organic baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups organic chocolate chips
What To Do
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line two baking sheets with Silpat baking mats or parchment; set aside. Cream butter until smooth; add sugars, and beat until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Into a large bowl, sift together dry ingredients. Slowly beat dry ingredients into wet mixture. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop 2 to 3 tablespoons dough per cookie onto prepared baking sheets; space dough at least 2 inches apart to allow for spreading. Bake until golden, 8 to 10 minutes. Remove cookies from baking sheets, and allow to cool on baking racks.
I want a cookie.
