What I did last Thursday night…
October 16th was the beginning of the A.N.T. FEST at Ars Nova. A.N.T. FEST features all types of artists doing their thing over a 6 week span.
I took Marine, and her mother Suzanne to the opening night performance, Step. The performers were feeling it. The show was about their lives, passions, dreams and whether they can survive in New York City and be truly committed to stepping.
They call themselves the Soul Step Ensemble, and consists of Heather DeLeon, Maxine Lyle, Dionne Norton, Sean Thomas. They use their body to create the music they dance to. It was hot. If you hear they are coming to a location near you go.
